Getting a good translation

Submitted by admin on 3 July 2015

Getting a good translation can be tricky, particularly with words which have very similar meaning. For example, both "vaisselle" and "plat" could be translated as "dish", so how to distinguish them? Google Translate can often be used to see different variants. For example, you will see below that Google Translate translates "vaisselle" not just as dishes, but also as "washing up", and it translates "plat" not just as "dish" but also as "course". This helps us to choose a better translation.

Note, of course, that any similar such words should generally be linked with a "see also" relation.
