Use a maximum of two English translations

Submitted by admin on 16 March 2016

Try, as far as possible to limit the number of English translations in the heading to two. For example, "affluence; peak; rush" in French uses 3 translations. Better to select the closest two meanings, and use those, so here "peak; rush".

Note that where the English has two distinct meanings, you should clone the word and join the two as homonyms of each other.

Very occassionally it is sometimes necessary to use three translations, for example zich uses "himself; herself; itself". Notice that here we are not just giving a wider range of translation options, but that there are three distinct but very connected ideas. Of course, this would be a good candidate for breaking up into three separate homonyms.
